Directions to Central CT State University
Constitution Room in Memorial Hall
 
DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTH Take I-91 South to I-84 West to Exit 39A, to Rte. 9 South. Take Exit 29 off Rte. 9 South to Ella Grasso Boulevard and take a right turn to the University. Alternate Route: Take I-91 South to I-84 West to Exit 40 (Corbins Corner). As you proceed down the Exit 40 ramp, bear left at the first traffic light. At the next traffic light (facing Sears), turn right onto Route 71 South. The University is approximately three (3) miles away.
FROM THE SOUTHWEST Take I-95 North to I-91 North to Exit 22 North to Rte. 9 North. Follow Rte.9 to Exit 29  (Rte. 175). At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, take a left turn to the second traffic light, and take a right turn onto Paul Manafort Drive.
FROM THE SOUTHEAST Take I-95 South to Rte. 9 North to Exit 29 (Rte. 175). At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, take a left turn to the second traffic light, and take a right turn onto Paul Manafort Drive.
FROM THE EAST Take I-84 West to Exit 39A to Rte. 9 South. Take Exit 29 off of Rte. 9 to Ella Grasso Boulevard and take a right turn to the University. Alternate Route: Take I-84 West to Exit 40, (Corbins Corner). As you proceed down the Exit 40 ramp, bear left at the first traffic light. At the next traffic light
(facing Sears), turn right onto Route 71 South. The University is approximately three (3) miles away.
FROM THE WEST Take I-84 East to Exit 39A, to Rte. 9 South. Take Exit 29 off of Rte. 9 South to Ella Grasso Boulevard and take a right turn to the University. Alternate Route: Take I-84 East to Exit 35, Rte. 72 East (New Britain exit). Follow Rte. 72 East to Rte. 9 North to Exit 29 (Rte. 175). At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, take a left turn to the second traffic light, and take a right turn onto Paul Manafort Drive.

TRAVELING EAST OR WEST ON I-84  TOWARDs NEW BRITAIN
            Exit 39A off I-84 onto 9 South.

Go 2.4 miles on 9 South to Exit 29 – “Rte 175 Newington”

Turn right at end of ramp onto Ella Grasso Blvd. (EGB)

Parking options:

1.   VANCE GARAGE near Memorial Hall, where the morning program takes place:

§       Travel .5 miles on EGB.

§       At light, turn left onto Stanley Street.

§       At next light, turn left onto Paul Manafort Drive (PMD). (Note that right turn at this intersection has a different street name, just to see if you’re paying attention.)

§       Drive .3 miles on PMD until you see signs on the left for “Lot F and Vance Garage”.

§       Turn left and enter and park in garage.

§       Walk out of garage on side away from PMD.

§       Memorial Hall will be to your right, around the corner of the grassy area.

2.  OUTSIDE PARKING, near the Student Center, where the afternoon program takes place.

§       Travel .4 miles on EGB.

§       Watch for signs on left to “Student Center, Parking Lots B & E”.

§       Turn left into parking lot and park wherever you can.

§       Walk toward the back of the Student Center and around it to the front.

§       When your back is to the Student Center, Memorial Hall will be directly in front of you, across the grassy area.

 

TRAVELING NORTH ON ROUTE 9 TOWARDS NEW BRITAIN

Exit 29 off 9N - Rte 175.

Turn left at end of exit ramp.

At 2nd traffic light, turn right onto Paul Manafort Drive (PMD).

Parking options:

1.   VANCE GARAGE near Memorial Hall, where the morning program takes place:

  §       Travel .3 miles on PMD.

§       Watch for sign that says “CCSU Campus Police”.

§       Turn right at next driveway. Sign says “Lot F and Vance Garage”.

§       After parking in garage, exit on side of garage away from PMD.

§       Memorial Hall will be to your right, around the corner of the grassy area.

2.  OUTSIDE PARKING, near the Student Center, where the afternoon program takes place.

    §       Travel .5 miles to Stanley Street – passing signs to Vance Garage.

§       At light (DD on left), turn right onto Stanley Street.

§       Turn right at first light onto Ella Grasso Blvd. (EGB) (Note that the left turn at this intersection is Eddy Glover Blvd. – just to confuse you.)

§       Drive .1 mile on EGB.

§       Watch for signs on right to “Student Center, Parking Lots B & E”.

§       Turn right into parking lot and park wherever you can.

§       Walk toward the back of the Student Center and around it to the front.

§       When your back is to Student Center, Memorial Hall will be in front of you, across grassy area.

Upon Arriving at NORTH ENTRANCE OF MEMORIAL HALL:

Rest Rooms are available on the first floor to the left,  through the double doors and around the corner, a fair distance from the upstairs Constitution Hall where the morning sessions will be held.
 
Our program takes place in Constitution Hall on the second Floor. Go up the flight of stairs and to the Left.
 
Or you can take the Elevator. Upon entering at the NORTH ENTRANCE, go right and follow the signs. It is a distance of approximately 200 feet and will open on the second floor in the Student Dining Room.  Walk across the Hall to Constitution Hall upon exiting.
