Information about Membership in Justices of the Peace Association

Benefits of membership in www.jpUS.org include:

	a featured listing on findaJP.com. where you may advertise your services and increase your exposure. In addition to the services you offer, your listing may include: foreign languages spoken, political party affiliation, ethnicity, religion, your website address your own photo other comments about yourself,
	potential clients will be assured of your integrity based upon the Code of Ethics that jpUS members agree to abide by
	couples contact you directly
	the opportunity to be listed in town directories in addition to your primary town (additional fee)
	the option of adding a Photo Gallery/Video page -- like having your own website, with photos and captions of weddings you have performed or video-- your choice. Additional charge: $25 per photo or video, five for $100.
	another option is the works: your own web page, an extension of your main listing, where you can talk to your heart's content about your wedding philosophy or anything else and include testimonials from satisfied clients. One-time fee: $100

	for new members, a distinctive Justice of the Peace lapel pin

Who can join?

To qualify for membership, you must be a registered Justice of the Peace in one of the 50 states and agree to uphold the jpUS Code of Ethics.

Members of jpUS must agree to abide by the following Code of Ethics:

As a member of the Justice of the Peace Association of the U.S. (jpUS.org), having accepted the responsibility of the office of Justice of the Peace, in order to faithfully discharge my duties with both competence and integrity, I resolve that I will adhere to the following standards of conduct:

	To execute the statutes of the State in which I am empowered, as promised when I took the oath of office
	To perform all tasks and responsibilities to the best of my ability
	To complete and submit all documentation accurately, on time and to the proper authorities
	To be honest with my clients and to act in their best interests
	To charge a fee for my services that reflects my expertise, effort, time and involvement in the preparation and performance of my duties and that is in compliance with state statute, if applicable
	To always act in a manner that reflects favorably on myself, my office, and the Justice of the Peace Association.
